Frequently asked questions.

Where are you located?

Hey Chew Crew treats YOUR family in YOUR home for the best possible carryover of performance and personalization compared to going to a facility.

We are currently practicing in the Abilene, TX general area.

What age do you treat?

We currently treat ages 6 months to 14 years old.

What IS feeding therapy?

After an initial screening, we observe and assess ALL aspects that could potentially affect feeding including oral-motor performance, diet history, sensory processing, significant medical history, motor and behavior regulation. Based on your child’s results we custom make a plan using multiple sensory, motor and educational techniques to meet 3-6 month goals. Parents, babysitters, and siblings are all included in the process for consistency and success!

What happens if I miss/cancel a therapy session?

Consistent attendance is necessary for progress. Your child’s appointment is scheduled specifically for them and a lot of planning goes into making each session based on their needs. If frequent cancellations/no-shows are made your child MAY be removed from the schedule to give that opportunity of services to another child.

Do you take my insurance?

Rates, fees and billing code information will be discussed, and detailed information provided, following your intake call.

Services rendered are considered Out-of-Network for insurance claims. You will be provided with a detailed receipt to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Reimbursement rates can vary widely based upon your individual insurance plan, benefits and deductible. It is recommended that you call your insurance company and become familiar with your plan.

Hey Chew Crew will provide you with a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining expected cost for a feeding evaluation and treatment.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
